Writing & Research
Across books, essays and research papers, my writing explores how cultural systems evolve under technological pressure — and how identity, belonging and power reorganise in environments increasingly shaped by algorithmic amplification and artificial intelligence.
Some of this work appears in traditional publishing and media outlets; some takes the form of analytical essays and research notes shared through Substack; and some circulates through policy and institutional research formats.
Together these texts form a continuous inquiry into how cultural dynamics shape the stability of organisations, institutions and democratic societies.
Books
Nicko Nogués is the author of two books exploring masculinity, identity and cultural transformation.
Hackea tu Macho
Planeta, 2021
An exploration of contemporary masculinity and the cultural narratives shaping male identity in the digital age.
Posmacho Alfa

A reflection on the transformation of masculinity in the context of technological acceleration, cultural fragmentation and evolving gender relations.
These books emerged from years of operating identity ecosystems through IDMAH and engaging directly with communities navigating the tensions between traditional identity narratives and emerging cultural realities.

Essays & Media
Over the past decade my work has appeared in media outlets and cultural platforms exploring masculinity, technology, cultural change and social cohesion.
These essays translate field observations and research insights into public conversation — connecting cultural analysis with contemporary debates about identity, digital platforms and social transformation.
Selected publications include appearances in media such as:
Many of these texts explore masculinity as a social laboratory for understanding broader cultural dynamics — including the impact of digital platforms on identity formation and polarisation.
Research Notes
More recent analytical work appears as essays and research notes published through Substack.
These texts explore themes including:
Algorithmic amplification and identity formation
Digital grievance dynamics
Cultural fragmentation and organisational risk
Social cohesion in algorithmic environments
Substack functions as an open research notebook where ongoing observations, conceptual explorations and emerging frameworks can be shared and debated.

Policy & Research
Alongside public writing, I develop research frameworks addressing algorithmic amplification and cultural stability.
A policy brief on algorithmic amplification and social cohesion risk is currently in preparation. An accompanying research paper is in advanced development and shared selectively with institutional partners ahead of formal publication.
These materials form part of the CARA Initiative (Cohesion & Amplification Risk Assessment) — a framework designed to help institutions detect and interpret amplification patterns affecting social cohesion and organisational stability.
